Is Childbirth Education really necessary?!

Only about 50% of women and families take a childbirth education

class prior to giving birth - and currently in the United States 1 in 3 women report experiencing some sort of trauma during their labor and birth journey.

The more you know, my friend, the better protected you are from birth trauma -

and not only that, the more likely you are to actually enjoy your birth experience which means you will be

starting your postpartum journey off in the most positive way possible

We want to teach you how to advocate for yourself, ask questions, and

be prepared for whatever birth throws your way...because most women don't report birth trauma as a result

of violent treatment - they simply report not feeling heard, respected, or involved

in decision making during their birth.

We invite you to come and learn with us so that you can walk away from your birth feeling

empowered and fulfilled by your birth experience.

There are so many childbirth classes out there!
What makes our Childbirth Class #2 unique?

Our classes are taught by a certified nurse midwife!

Virtual Childbirth Classes allow you to learn at your own pace from the comfort of your home without rearranging your schedule! With our pre-recorded, easily digestible 1.5 hour long class, you will get to watch at your own convenience! (Pajamas are encouraged )

Many classes related to childbirth focus on attaining one specific goal. Unfortunately, birth is a bit unpredictable. If you only prepare for the type of birth you desire, you will be unprepared if something happens in your birth that you were not expecting.

Empowered Childbirth Class #2 is made specifically to prepare you for the most common complications and interventions that could be recommended during your labor and birth experience. Hopefully none of these things are needed, but if they are, you will be ready to navigate this shift with ease.

What will you learn in Class #2?
  • When intervention might be necessary
  • Common pregnancy complications
  • Coping with abnormal labor patterns
  • Interventions for abnormal labor patterns
  • What to do if your water breaks before labor starts
  • Risks of your water being broken for a long time
  • Abnormal fetal heart patterns
  • Meconium fluid
  • True obstetric emergencies
  • Immediate postpartum complications
  • The difference between induction and augmentation of labor
  • Cesarean delivery
  • Discussion of informed consent
